12 June 07

Calvin Kapp and crew show up yesterday and began to cut in roads in the new subdivision. This subdivision is called Twin Ridges phase II and has 31 lots available to build on. We hope to begin digging basements in this new area by the middle of July 07. The wind always blows here in the afternoon. As they were cutting in the roads, several neighbors complained to the city about the dust we are creating. We will bring in a water truck and keep the ground wet once the sage brush is cleared and we can drive the truck through the area. Until then they plan to stop work in the afternoon if the wind gets too bad.

We actually installed three temporary power pedestals today. Now we need an inspection and we set for the power company.

22 May 2007

I took two Building Permit Applications to Evanston Public Works today. It was snowing lightly and sunny. We are hoping to get these permits back from the Planning Commission and Public Works in time to dig next Wednesday, 30 May 07.

Noticed a new foundation on the lot next to our Model Home. They were backfilling it today. I told the General Contractor that we were digging next Wednesday and he indicated that he would clear off his gravel, trailer and other items before then.

The same thing was going on at Eastman's lot. Sewer and water pipes along with a trailer sat on this lot. I saw Mike Pexton and asked about moving it and about staking out the property and giving us a "back top of curb" by next Wednesday.

I also met the gas company field man, who surprisingly was asking questions about the subdivision and how he wanted to make sure we were treated great. Wyoming is a different feel. Everyone is willing to help out others. They are friendly and willing to go out of their way to help or answer questions. This will be a great place to work (and live).

Nilson Homes / Evanston Division

Welcome to the grand city of Evanston Wyoming. Here you will be able to participate in the construction of homes being built by Nilson Homes.

These photos are in the South West part of town and the area where we are building our first set of homes. This is known as "Ridgecrest" and "Red Hawk" subdivisions.
We welcome your interest and comments. And look forward to building you a home in this part of the country.
